Updates

Summer simply is a Kalon Kar, which roughly translates into a kid who tries to act older than their age. When I remember her as a baby aged 6m to now, this is how I will remember her.

As Summer is not yet walking, she still cruises to the best of her ability. She wants to push the shopping cart or stroller instead of sitting in it. She will stand up unassisted for 10+ seconds, but thinks the funny part is to fall down, not to take a step.
She is eating like a fiend. She loves chicken, plums, Cheerios, and cheese. She has grown to love eggs and most beans and veggies under the right circumstances. Mostly she just wants to chew her own food and feed herself, because she's a kalon kar.

Summer talks up a storm, repeating ANY word you say to her. For instance, I say, "We're going to the beach." She says, "Beach."
Here are some of the words Summer says that don't sound exactly the same as everyone else, but are the most awesome words ever:
Cheerios = Churdios (personal fav)
Plum = Pumma
This = Jeeesh or Dih
Up/Down = Uppa/Dowwwwna
Chushak (pacifier) = Ka
Blankie = Binky

When she's not talking, she's speaking in some jibberish that sounds like a combination of Swahili and Vietnamese to herself. She speaks with such confidence and purpose to herself, that one would think that she knows something that we don't.
She's finally sleeping through the night, which sometimes means 10 hours (5:30am) and sometimes means 13 (around 8:30am). She's still a huge fan of breastfeeding, although we can easily distract her with some cheese or bread now. She uses the pacifier to fall asleep, although she'd like it all the time when she's tired and grumpy.

She always wants to be interacting with animals. Since recently getting our nearly 2 week old chicks, she wants to see the chickies and when the chickies are ni-ni-ing (sleeping), she wants to watch videos of chicks on YouTube. Doggies delight her in every context, even the stuffed variety. She loves identifying all their body parts, and naaz-ing them (petting them).

She gives the BEST huggies and mawches (kisses) in the world and has become quite the affectionate little girl.
